She has been employed and self-employed in the financial industry since 1994. Dawn very much enjoys helping her clients with their financial futures and guides them in building strong roadmaps for risk and wealth management. She is an independent financial advisor with Desjardins Financial Security Investments and DL Solutions. Her office is located in the historic Hammond Building across from City Hall.
Dawn enjoys all sports, with baseball and football being her favorites. She started running in 2000 and has done many 5 and 10km runs and a handful of half-marathons. From her passion of running, the Moose Jawg Charity Road Race was developed in 2002 and over 15 years, the event has raised over $120,000 for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation.
In 2012, Dawn was honoured to win a Women of Distinction award through the Regina YWCA in the Community Leadership and Enhancement category for her work over the years on City Council, Moose Jaw Cultural Centre Builders and Board, Prairie Arts Festival, Moose Jawg and various other organizations past and present in the community. In 2008, Dawn’s group Moose Jaw Horizon Running Club was presented with the Philanthropy Award from Moose Jaw Health Foundation in regards to her work on the annual Moose Jawg.
Dawn and her partner David are very happy to call Moose Jaw home. Thank you to everyone who supported Dawn in the 2016 municipal election. She is looking forward to working with the new Council and with them, leading the community into new growth opportunities over the next four years.
